Today marks the official launch of BoundLore — the first dedicated, community-driven wiki for Light No Fire, the upcoming open-world fantasy game by Hello Games. Whether you stumbled across this wiki through a search engine or were invited by a fellow fan, we're glad you're here.
What is Light No Fire?
Light No Fire is an upcoming game from Hello Games, the independent studio best known for No Man's Sky. Announced in December 2023 via a cinematic trailer, the game is set on a single, planet-sized fantasy world — Earth-scale in size but entirely handcrafted in feel. Think dense forests, towering mountains, ancient ruins and creatures you've never seen before, all on one seamless planet to explore.
"A fantasy game set on a planet the size of a real planet."
What Do We Know So Far?
As of mid-2026, Hello Games has kept many details close to their chest. Here is a summary of everything confirmed or strongly indicated:
- Planet-scale world: The game world is described as a real, Earth-sized planet — one of the most ambitious open worlds ever attempted.
- Multiplayer: Like No Man's Sky, Light No Fire will feature shared multiplayer experiences, with thousands of players potentially inhabiting the same world.
- Fantasy setting: Dragons, magic, ancient structures and diverse biomes have all been glimpsed in early footage and concept art.
- Survival and exploration: Core gameplay appears to focus on exploration, survival and community building in an uncharted world.
- No release date: Hello Games has not confirmed a release window as of the time of writing. The studio is known for working quietly until ready.
- Developed by Hello Games: The same team that transformed No Man's Sky from a rocky launch to one of the most beloved survival games ever made.
About BoundLore
BoundLore is a fan-made project with one goal: to be the most complete and well-organised reference for Light No Fire when the game arrives. We are building the wiki's structure now so that contributors can start adding content the moment the game launches — or even earlier as Hello Games reveals more.
The wiki currently covers placeholder structures for Creatures, Biomes, Items, Guides, Guilds and News. All of these sections will grow rapidly as the community contributes. If you want to be part of that, head to our Contribute page.
